By way of introduction...
I was born August 18, 1957 in Beaumont, Texas. Don't hold that
against me. I can't help my age or being a native Texan. Both
conditions are to be considered acts of God. My teen years were
spent in El Cajon, California and I graduated from El Cajon
Valley High School in June of 1975. This little twist of fate
is what hooked me on the X-Files. Glen Morgan and James Wong
also are from El Cajon and their little subtle asides and inside
jokes caught my eye, compelling me to pay attention to this
show my children were raving about. Now, Mom is the one obsessed.
I moved back to Beaumont in 1976 with plans to attend Lamar
University. I changed my mind that summer and got married instead.
All I can say about this decision is to offer a quote from the
show, "What was I thinking? What WAS I thinking?"
I did get 4 wonderful little ubers out of the deal. Keanan Heath,
born February 22,1977; Kyle Delin, born October 14, 1978; Korena
Brooks, born September 12, 1980; and Kristen Nicole, born October
20, 1982. As you can see the late '70's and early '80's were
busy times and passed very quickly.
I was divorced in 1985 and returned to El Cajon. Funny how fate
is because I fell in love with a man who was raised in El Cajon,
who graduated from the same high school, but who'd only returned
to the city that same year I did. It was meant to be...how's
that for shippy!
We all moved to Colorado in 1987 and have been here ever since.
This state is heaven, I wouldn't live any where else.
You can catch me most any time working on my stories and talking
with all the wonderful friends I've made here on the internet.
I'd say travel and off-roading but lately...no time.
I AM a
Broncomaniac. I'm still wearing my orange armband in mourning.
I have been since the retirement. Ah, Johnny, we hardly knew
ye. 16 years just wasn't enough. But I'm ready for a - 3-PEAT!!! |
